 Wholesale of spices, lentils and rice- Chan's B.V. is an independent Dutch company that imports, exports and trades exotic foodstuff such as spices, rice, beans, canned fruit, drinks, etc. Chan's supplies its customers (traders, wholesale and shops) in the Netherlands and Europe with these products, which it mostly imports from Asia and North and South America.

Chan's also delivers drinks and beers. In the mean time Chan's has created a good name in the Netherlands with Surinamese beer. Heineken has tried to sell this beer in the Netherlands, but didn't succeed. In good consultation we have taken over this brand. What makes this beer so different than tradiotionele beers? It is ricebier, which is not bitter of taste and are deliciously accessible. Or, it drinks nicely. |

Chan's named 'Company of the Year 2006' |

Never before was the final of Alphen's 'Company of the Year' more exciting. Themepark Archeon, Bakery Visser and Chan's were the three nominees. On the 8th of januari 2007 the public chose its winner. The first voting round resulted in a draw for first place, after which board member Pim Perquin called upon the voters to choose the final winner from the two companies. Chan's came out on top. |

 Some forty years ago in Surinam, Chan Raghoober started to sell his wife's homemade curry to local shops. His business was so succesful that his four sons had to help pack each day after school. The family moved to the Netherlands in 1975, where they started Chan's on the 16th of juni, 1981, exactly 25 years ago. |
